Application
Drive for gantry cranes, cranes, and industrial hoists in general. Motors and brake motors for the different movements of a crane:
- Lifting
- Crane traversing
- Trolley traversing

Characteristics
Custom electrical design, adapted to each crane and type of service, generally S3 or S4, ED25%, ED40%, ED60% or others (number of starts/hour, etc.).
Single-speed motors for direct or variable speed drive, with or without encoder.
Two- or three-speed motors, independent or with a Dahlander connection, allowing for various combinations (e.g., 16/4/2 pole, 2/12 pole, 2/4 pole, 2/6 pole, 2/8 pole, 4/6 pole, 4/8 pole, 4/12 pole, 4/16 pole, 4/24 pole, 6/12 pole, 12/6/2 pole, 24/6/2 pole…)
Incorporation of flywheels for better load balancing.
Cast iron, aluminum, or welded steel housing.
Standard powers up to 30 kW, with the possibility of higher power motors on demand.
Closed mechanical construction with IP54/IP55 certifications, and IP66 for more aggressive environments.
Ventilation systems:
Self-ventilated
With forced air ventilation
Compact design and great flexibility of dimensional adaptation to the kinematic chain:
Shaft and flange according to IEC standard
Customized options: splined shafts, dimensions adapted to the customer’s application, non-standard.

Brakes
- Commercial brakes from leading brands for small motors.
- Brakes designed and manufactured by Obeki for larger sizes and torques.
- Direct current (DC) power supply with rectifier supply (range from 90 to 190 Vdc).
- Direct power supply in alternating current (AC) at 220 Vac, 380 Vac, 400Vac, etc.
- Static braking torque proportional to the nominal torque of the motors (between 1 and 2 times)
- Modular, safe, and economically efficient design.
