Motors for Steelworks Roller Tables

The motors are designed for driving rollers in the transport of bars and different steel profiles at high temperatures in hot rolling lines of steel plants. They are mainly used in steel mills, continuous casting lines, and semi-continuous casting lines.

High Resistance in Aggressive Environments

They operate in extreme conditions with high temperatures, ambient humidity, suspended particles, and condensation derived from roller cleaning.

Versatile Power Supply

They can start directly from the line or be powered by a Frequency Converter, either individually or in coordinated groups.

Constant Torque

They operate with constant torque over a wide speed range.
Suitable for tempering tables for cooling by “rain” of clean water or with chemical components.

Robustness and Resistance

They withstand demanding duty cycles, including starting, stopping, and reverse starting, in addition to variable loads in both directions.

Optimal Cooling

Their housings with radial fins favor surface cooling and evacuation of condensation.

High Protection

They have a degree of tightness of up to IP67 in the motor and terminal box.

Custom Design

Dimensionally and mechanically adapted for new turnkey plants or for specific or scheduled replacement of existing lines (revamping).

Winding Protection

Some Obeki “Roller Table” models have a stator encapsulated in special high-temperature resin, which protects the windings from the entry of water, steam, or internal condensation.

High-durability Materials

Optional use, as required by the application, of stainless steel shafts, resistant screws, and special coatings to guarantee a prolonged life cycle.

Great Design Flexibility

They guarantee full 1:1 interchangeability with circular, square, or rectangular flanges. In addition, the terminal box is strategically arranged to facilitate access according to each installation.
