Obeki, together with different partners in each case (research laboratories, private companies, institutions), regularly participates in different research and development projects. The objective is to acquire basic knowledge for its application in new developments of its electric motors.

EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND 2021-2027 (ERDF)

The company OBEKI INNOBE, A.I.E. participates in the development of the POWER project – POWER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE DECARBONIZATION OF AVIATION, whose objective is to investigate the enabling technologies necessary for the development of an electric propulsion system for sustainable aircraft. In addition to contributing to the decarbonization process of aviation, POWER aims to cover:

  1. Functional and safety implications of state-of-the-art HV (high voltage) contactors;
  2. High-efficiency high-voltage conversion and distribution concepts;
  3. High-efficiency and power density electrical machines; and
  4. Intelligent integration, architecture, and topology of modular electric motors and MCUs (Motor Control Unit) to reduce overall weight.

This project has been subsidized by the CDTI, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, with file number 00160225 / PTAG-20231007 through the call for the year 2023 of the procedure for granting aid for the “Aeronautical Technological Program” of the State Program to Catalyze Innovation and Business Leadership of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
